A Family the Rings Together… Stays Together – National Realtor Ring Day

National Realtor Ring Day

Friday, December 7th was National Realtor Ring Day. It’s an annual event on the first Friday of December when realtors across the country team up with The Salvation Army to ring for donations in their local communities.

The Maple Grove Edina Realty office rang the Salvation Army bell at Byerly’s and Cub Foods. Jarrod Peterson and his entire family were bell ringing for two hours on Friday, December 7th, just like they’ve done annually for the past six years. Because a family that rings together…stays together.

The whole family is helping to raise money – Ashley, Nick, Linda and Jarrod.

For them, it’s rewarding beyond just raising money. “It’s a really fun way to spend two hours in the evening, because you’re just talking to people,” said bell ringer Ashley Peterson. “I’m really kind of astounded by the generosity of people, this year especially, compared to previous years. Almost everyone who walked by put some money into the kettle.” The family likes to have fun with it by signing songs, dressing up and dancing to music.

“The Maple Grove community is especially generous, and when they see us all dressed up, singing songs to raise money, they become even more generous,” said Jarrod Peterson. “We see so many past clients, friends and neighbors when we do this. It is truly a pleasure to work, live and play in the Maple Grove community.”

Mortgage Lender, Al Coleman with Mortgages Unlimited makes a donation into the kettle.

Business Owner, Nick Roers is supporting the Salvation Army with his donation.
