On October 29, our CEO, Jarrod Peterson, once again served as a co-chair for the 2020 Be Pink fundraiser for the Jane Brattain Breast Center of Park Nicollet. The Jarrod Peterson Real Estate Group proudly sponsors the event as a Pink Partner and helped raise $115,000 for the organization.
About the Be Pink Fundraiser
Held in October as part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Be Pink fundraiser raises money for Mammo a-go-go – a mobile mammography program that sends trucks to Twin Cities communities and provides walk-in breast cancer screenings to women in need. The event usually takes place at the Wayzata Country Club and hosts over 330 community members and business leaders. Due to COVID-19, however, this year’s fundraiser went remote and was streamed virtually.
Virtual Viewing Party with The Petersons
With the event going virtual, hundreds of viewers watched the event with viewing parties held all over the Twin Cities. Jarrod and Linda Peterson hosted their own COVID-safe viewing party for 14 clients and friends who generously supported the mission. The small group enjoyed good food, drinks, and conversation while tuning into the event together.
It may have been a little different this time, but the evening was still full of fun! The experience included a virtual wine tasting by Haskell’s and signature cocktail creations by J. Carver Distillery, as well as fun floral/table arrangement and cake decorating activities. Attendees also received a virtual welcome message from Jarrod Peterson and fellow co-chair and Nothing Bundt Cakes Minnetonka Franchise Owner Kim Cassens. The night concluded with a solo acoustic concert by nationwide country music artist Lee Brice, sponsored by local country station 102.9 The Wolf.
