Jarrod Peterson’s History as Maple Grove’s Sales Leader

Jarrod Peterson has been selling homes in Maple Grove for more than 20 years. He’s watched the city grow from an out-of-the-way suburb to one of the metro’s most active and developed communities. And through it all, he’s consistently been Maple Grove’s sales leader.

Finding a New Community

Jarrod moved to Maple Grove with his wife, Linda, in 1997. He was in the midst of his corporate career, working as a business executive for leading, local companies. His work took him all over the world, and he experienced many new places and cultures. But he always loved coming home to Maple Grove.

Maple Grove looked a lot different back then. There were no coffee shops, no standalone car washes, and only about eight restaurants. Most roads on the west side of I-94 were dirt. But there was affordable housing, and the local magazines and business journals predicted that development would begin soon. Big things were on the horizon, and Jarrod wanted to be part of them.

Earning His Stripes

In 2005, Jarrod left the corporate world and started his own real estate practice, quickly earning recognition as a top realtor from Maple Grove Magazine and the Osseo-Maple Grove Press. Mpls.St.Paul Magazine has named Jarrod a Super Real Estate Agent 19 times since he began his career!

Jarrod became well known throughout the community, frequently appearing at Rotary, Lions Club, and school district functions. He also held his own Retro Realtor events throughout the year in different Maple Grove locations. Jarrod’s kids were active in local sports, and his business regularly volunteered for and financially supported Maple Grove Crimson athletics. Jarrod is proud of the $250,000 that he has given back into the community over the years.

Meanwhile, Maple Grove’s development was kicking into high gear. Developers added a new hospital, expanded The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes, built several new construction neighborhoods, and built more than 50 new restaurants. And yes, the city even gained a few coffee shops and car washes.

Jarrod’s selling skills were in high demand during this period. He sold several homes with unusual features, including dog washing stations, two-story garages, and indoor swimming pools. He even sold two homes that were said to be haunted!

Growing with the City

Maple Grove continued growing as Jarrod’s career progressed. The school district remodeled several schools and added a new elementary school to accommodate growing numbers of students. They completed new athletic fields and courts for soccer, baseball, football, and basketball. The parks and recreation department added and upgraded trails so that more people could enjoy Maple Grove’s beautiful outdoor areas.

Homebuyers were flocking to Maple Grove, eager to enjoy the city’s vibrant shopping, dining, entertainment, and walkability. Maple Grove now boasted more than 150 restaurants. Jarrod helped many buyers move to Maple Grove from places like South Minneapolis, St. Louis Park, and Eden Prairie. Two of his Maple Grove properties were even featured on HGTV and DIY Network television shows.

Jarrod also helped many clients downsize, which is still popular today. Many older clients are selling their two-story homes in favor of single-level living or senior communities, and Maple Grove has many options for both.

Jarrod’s reputation in Maple Grove grew thanks to feats like selling a home with the largest deck permit ever approved in the city and another home with the largest attached garage ever approved in the city. He sold homes for school administrators, city leaders, celebrity athletes, and well-known public figures.

Looking to the Future

Maple Grove is still growing today. With nearly 1,700 businesses, its active and developing economy continues to attract new opportunities for residents. There are also more than 700 cul-de-sacs in Maple Grove, and Jarrod has probably sold a home on every one of them.

From 2005 to 2026, Jarrod Peterson has sold Maple Grove homes throughout all stages of the city’s development, and he’ll continue to do so as the city evolves further. Homeowners trust him to sell their property efficiently and at the best possible price. And after 21 years in real estate, he’s still proud to be Maple Grove’s real estate expert.
